This is unbelievable! Look at what Gwenyth says in her goop journal about not giving up pasta.  Plus look at her list of super foods, all the kinds of ingredients I use in my recipes.  This recipe uses 3 of her super foods—walnuts, cruciferous vegetable, and chia.  Also good for you there’s raisins, olive oil, and garlic in this one amazing recipe!  She references Dr. Frank Lipman and his list of super foods.  Dr. Lipman’s blog is here.

 

3 in 3 Pasta with broccoli, walnuts, and raisins

10 oz. BonaChia® Pasta

4 cups broccoli florets,

3/4 cup walnuts, rough chopped

3/4 cup golden raisins

1 clove garlic, minced fine

3 Tbsp olive oil

1 tsp. coarse kosher salt

1/2 cup reserved cooking water

Directions

In a bowl put the olive oil, garlic, raisins and salt. Bring a large pot of salted  water to a boil. Cook pasta and broccoli together for 3 minutes.  Before draining pasta, ladle 1/2 cup of hot cooking water into bowl and  stir. Drain pasta and broccoli. Toss all together in bowl. Season with fresh ground pepper. Parmesan, optional.

*if using 12 oz. bag of Al Dente Pasta, increase walnuts and raisins to 1 cup each and increase amount of cooking water to 2/3 cup.
