Today marks the 100th anniversary of the first concert in Hill Auditorium — May 14, 1913. It is such an honor to be on the board of UMS and part of this momentous occasion. Today’s annarbor.com has a special article on the 100th anniversary of U-M’s “Big House for the Arts.”

Our dear friend Sophia Kruz did the documentary focused on Hill’s history, called ” A Space for Music, A Seat for Everyone: 100 Years of UMS Performances in Hill Auditorium,” which will air on TV Sunday, May 19 at 5 p.m. on WTVS, channel 56.

Sophia did blog posts for us when she was still a student at U-M before getting her job as documentation for UMS. Her recipe for the Quick and Healthy Bolognese is delicious. We also credit her with the photography for the Arugula, Sundried Tomatoes, and Feta Pasta.
